  • I cant believe that Wilkie made Maya write down everything she can do and is grateful for.
  • Maya taught me never to complain over something so little when you are healthy and have everything or close to everything in life.
  • It's great that Clyde and Maya finally reconciled their relationship.
  • It must have been rough to live with a mother who you constantly have to check if she is still in her room to make sure she will never leave you.
  • I think that Clyde maybe traumatized because of his mother's consistent absence in his life.

4 Questions:

  • Why did Maya put the thought of killing herself in to her mind?
  • How could killing yourself and your only child solve any pain in your life? If anything it would just enable you to move forward.
  • Does Maya feel so empty she needs to see a phyciatrist?
  • Why did Clyde want to change his name to Guy?
  • Can Maya ever get over the past?

1 Overview sentence: Maya is just now understanding that she needs to become more apart of her son's life and needs to be aware of his needs because he is now sick also she is now more grateful for all the things she can do and does have in her life.
